CO2 concentration control in greenhouse crops

The Controllers follow a set of guidelines for dosing carbon dioxide into the greenhouse.

The setpoint for this parameter is constantly defined according to:

  • The greenhouse heat demand
  • Solar radiation
  • Wind speed
  • Degree of ventilation opening.

A series of setpoints are used for this, including the determination of minimum, middle and maximum concentration thresholds.

The transition from highest to lowest concentration takes place proportionally to the degree of the ventilation opening, as the wind speed.
