Novedades Agricolas is taking part in an European LIFE project to develop innovations for agriculture.

The Institute for Research and Agricultural Development & Food in Murcia (IMIDA), dunder the Ministry of Agriculture & Water, hosted on Monday 10 October the official signing of the partnership agreement of the European LIFE Project

This initiative led by IMIDA, has the support of the company Novedades Agricolas, University of Murcia (UMU) and the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Murcia (Feocam).

All of them have shown strong commitment to the research and innovation development in order to bring significant added value to our regional production system and high competitiveness in relation to other producing countries.

The event was attended by: IMIDA director Adrian Martinez, Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Murcia, Juan Antonio García, Fecoam director, Antonio Sanz, and the manager of the company Novedades Agricolas, Lucas Galera.

Following the signing of the cooperation agreement, a technical meeting of all partners to address project objectives and actions, as well as administrative and financial aspects of operation was developed.

The project is to be concluded within four years, having an end date of June 2018 and will have a budget of 1,838,000 euros, of which the Directorate General Environment of the European Commission will provide about 50 percent.
