Treatment Pumps

When there is a need to control a pest or disease in the crops, it is essential to apply a phytosanitary product and that reaches all parts of the plant appropriately, achieving an adequate wetting.

The correct distribution of the phytosanitary product is achieved by fogging the product at an adequate pressure and obtaining an appropriate drop size; high-pressure pumps are used for this.

Operation and characteristics of the phytosanitary treatment pumps

The high-pressure pumps can be driven by petrol/diesel motors or by electric motors.

It is necessary to have a tank where the product is diluted to the dose recommended by the maker and to mount a helical agitator, if agitation by return of the pump is not enough.

The pump draws it and by means of a pistol we graduate the drop size for the application.

In greenhouses a network is installed of high-pressure pipes made of high-density PE, which run from the pump and are distributed along the passages, so that the operative, with a flexible and portable hose that has the pistol incorporated, can carry out the application of the product more comfortably.

A Sulphate System consists of an installation designed for the application of phytosanitary treatments in greenhouses.

The installation consists of:

  • A pumping head, with mixture preparation tank and a high-pressure pump
  • A pipe network, with the piping prepared for high pressure, this network has outlets distributed throughout the greenhouse
  • A hose kit with an application pistol, this hose is coupled to the outlets mentioned above

In this way the need is eliminated for the operatives to carry treatment backpacks (of 15 to 20 kg), as well as the trips and the time necessary to recharge them, the application of the treatment on the plants being carried out quickly and comfortably.
